Sub Chompu Arboretum
Sub Chompu Arboretum is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Petchabun. It is located in Village 8 Ban Sub Chompu, Ban Phot sub-district, Nong Phai district, Petchabun. The 70-acre conserved forest is mostly mixed forest and dry evergreen forest. Sub Chompu Arboretum was established in 2527 B.E.(1984 A.D.) by the approval of the sub-district council committee together with assistant district officer and Nong Phai Forest Office. It is partially in Chompu Temple’s land and also serves as a learning centre with various herbs to be studied. The arboretum is filled with beautiful flowers and contains three waterfalls; Hin Ngam waterfall, Sai Ngam waterfall and Tarn Ngam waterfall ,which all originate from Petchabun Range. The most well-known attractions are Hin Ngam waterfall and Luang Pho Kien(an expert monk).
