Stretching over 519
square kilometers of virgin forest, the KhlongTron National Park is home
to beautiful sightseeing spots and nature-related activities. Gushing
waterfalls and deep gullies pepper the park, including HuaiNiam
Waterfall and Kokmonkaew Waterfall. Steep cliffs dot the area.The mountainous park includes KhaoPhumiang, the highest mountain at 1,500 meters above sea level, situated in the east side of the Park. The great mountain also the source of major gullies flowing westward into the province’s crucial Nan River.
To get there from AmphoeMueang, take Highway No.11 to Ban Nam Ang ofAmphoeTron, and take Highway No.1047 to AmphoeNam Pad. The total distance is 70 kilometers.
Admission is 200 baht for adults and 100 baht for children. Accommodation is available at the park. However, please note the park is closed between September 1-October 31 each year. For more information, call 0 2562 0760 or www.dnp.go.th.
