Maeti BasinMaeti Basin is located in Moo 9, Ban Doiwiang, Banti Sub-district far from Maeti District only about 5 km. It is in the Royal Development Projects. In order to build this basin in B.E.2528 to restore water from Maeti River in Ban Doiwiang, budget was used for 41,934,360 Baht. HM King BhumibolAdulyadej was a chairperson at the opening ceremony at 6 February B.E.2530.
About the features, the width of this basin is 8 metre. The dam’s width is 470 metre. The length is 6 km and the height is 26.5 metre. It can keep water as much as 5 million cube and cover agricultural areas for 5,000 rai.
This basin has a lot of advantages. For instance, people can go finishing here for fun, eating or selling since there are many fish in the basin. Moreover, it has picturesque scenario around here because of mountains and Maeti Stream. You can see a high beautiful mountain and green trees. Therefore, it is a perfect place for relaxing. If you walk for about 5 km., you will see Huayhok Waterfall which is very beautiful and known as one of the important tourist attractions in Lumpoon.
If you want to pay a visit, you can come here by car. Go to highway number 1147 from Lumpoon. You will see Lumpoon industrial estate- Makuojae Sub district-Market in Banti District. Then, turn left and go toBanti-Doiwiang Road for about 7 km. You will reach your destination.
