About 12 kilometers
from the district town of Pho Tha-le, or 60 kilometers south of Phichit
town, is a temple called Wat Bang Khlan. It was once the residence of a
highly revered monk, the late Luang Pho Ngoen. After his passing, a
statue of the monk was cast, and the public continues to pay their
respects to this powerful religious symbol. The Chai Bowon Museum inside
the temple houses collections of ancient items such as votive tablets,
