Wat Mani Sathit Kapittharam

Attraction Details :
Wat Mani Sathit Kapittharam is located on Sunthon Sathit Road, behind a health garden, at the Clock Tower Circle. This temple was constructed during the Rattanakosin period, and locals now call it Wat Thung Kaeo. Inside the temple, there is a large five-pinnacled spire or Prang, with a width of 8 meters and a height of 16 meters, built in 1909. The spire is said to contain the relics of Lord Buddha and the image of Luangpho Yaem, a venerated monk who constructed the temple.
There is a large pool made of bricks, believed to be holy, and a stone tablet with the widely considered magical scripts of Luangpho Yaem located in the middle of the pool. Its water was once used to bathe the king in the coronation ceremony of King Rama VI and King Rama VII.
The temple is open 6.00 am-5.00 pm daily.
