WatChantaram, commonly
known as Wat Ta Soong, was established in Ayuddha. The temple possesses
a small-size monastery in which paintings depicting Buddha’s history
were completed by local artists and some of which are understood to be
painted later as they are unbalanced in some ways. Another precious of
the temple is the pulpit LuangPohYai built. In the monastery, a stucco
Buddha’s image and 2-3 Thai wood carvings on tympanum are installed. On
the opposite of the temple is a new large sacred place. Moreover,
LuangPohRuesrilingdum, a renowned monk, ordered to build several
buildings such as a new ubosot of which the decoration inside is
extremely lavish and the windows as well as the doors painted with devas
by skillful artists. Furthermore, His Majesty the King once presided
over the opening of this sacred place surrounded by low walls. The front
wall of the Mondapainstalls the images of LuangPohParn and LuangPohYai
which are 3 times as big as the real body. The vihanr also installs an
image imitating Shinaratr and the undecomposed body of
LuangPohRuesrilingdum. These structures are similar in that they are
made of white mosaic.You can always spend your holidays or weekends in this peaceful place and making merits here every day. The large glass vihanr is open from 9.00 to 11.30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The period from 11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. is for meditation. The main vihanr is open from 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and for weekends and on holidays, it opens from 9.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no pauses. The golden prasat is open from 8.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. For Metteyyamondapa, it is open from 9.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and opens with no pauses on weekends and holidays. The 15-meter-tall Buddha’s image and Pudtarn Pagoda are open from 8.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you drive a car, you can use the High Way Number 3256, heading for PaeKamFak in AmphoeManorom just 12 kilometers. And you can get on the blue minibus (Uthaitanee-Tonsoong). Moreover, you can get on a 40-seat boat (Wat Ta Soong- Moo Baan Klang Nam) and buy some souvenirs as well as organic vegetables.
