WatTraiPhum, situated
on Phetcharat Road, features a Buddha image called
PhraPhutthaMahaThammaracha, a Phetchabun-forged, bejeweled Buddha image
cast in the Lop Buri style. The statue was lost for a period of time
before being re-discovered, submerged in the Pa Sak River, by locals. As
a result, an annual ritual bathing of the Buddha image, or “Um Phra Dam
Nam” ceremony, is held each September.The temple is open daily from 6.00 am-5.00 pm.
