    Wat Phra Boromthat is located at Koh Taphao subdistrict and is 36 kilometers away from Ban Tak district. To get to the temple, drive along Highway No. 1107 for about 35 kilometers. Then turn left to enter Highway No. 1175. Keep going for a kilometer and you will see Wat Phra Boromthat on your left-hand side. Alternatively, tourists can get there by Highway No. 1 by entering Ban Tak district at KM. 442 for about 300 meters. Turn right to go into Ban Tak market and keep driving until the end of the road. Make a left turn and go pass Mae Ping Bridge. Then make a right turn and drive pass Wat Tha Na. Next, turn left and drive pass Wat Thung Yang. At the end of the road, turn right and keep going o asphalt road. When you reach a T-junction, turn left and drive 200 more meters. Wat Phra Boromthat is on your left-hand side.
    Wat Phra Boromthat is an ancient temple which has undergone several restorations. The wooden door panels, the pediments and roof decorations of the ordination hall are exquisitely craved. The wooden window panels is etched with the Buddha’s biography and gilded. The stair heads are Naga serpent. The two-story assembly hall has a very high ceiling and is well equipped with ventilation channels, so the temperature inside is comfortable for meditation practices. It enshrines a gilded stucco Buddha image. Within the temple ground, there is also an old wooden assembly hall for visitors to admire. This temple is among the ones of great historical and archaeological value.
