Sunflower Field at Bueng Sam Phan
Sunflower field at Bueng Sam
Phan is among the most popular tourist attractions in Phetchabun. The
sunflower field covers the areas of two villages, Ban Khao Pluang and
Ban Pa Yang, both of which are located in Tambol Sra Keaw, Amphoe Bueng
Sam Phan, Phetchabun Province.
In December – January, the
sunflowers will bloom in abundance to welcome the first cool breeze of
the season. Greeted with the morning sunlight, they will carpet the
hills and turn them into the breathtaking scenery, with the hilly golden
sunflower field against the endless blue sky. What makes the sunflower
field at Bueng Sam Phan special and stand out is that the sunflowers
here are the big species. Apart from that, the fertile hilly land of
Bueng Sam Phan is also the ideal place for growing sunflowers at its
best. Thus, the sunflower field at Bueng Sam Phan suites those who are
looking for a leisure outing with friends and family.
“Tawanban Bon Phu thee Bueng
Sam Phan,” or the blossom sunflower festival, is held every December at
Bueng Sam Phan. After enjoying the beauty of the sunflower field, the
fresh air and the spectacular scenery, there are a lot of activities
awaiting at the festival, ranging from the sunflower competition, the
beauty pageant competition, to agricultural product shopping.
Visitors can get there from
Bangkok via Highway No. 21 (Saraburi – Lomsak), passing Amphoe Nhong
Phai until reaching Rahul Intersection. Turn to Highway No. 225, to
Chaiyaphum province, and go straight for about 18 kilometers. When
reaching the 14th kilometer, turn left at Ban Sub Born Interection, and
continue for approximately 14 kilometers.
