Kwan Phayao is the largest freshwater fish habitat in Thailand’s upper northern region. Besides providing stunning views at dusk, it is also a daily source of locals’livelihoods
and supplies water for the area. A mountain range, Doi Mae Chai, stands
watch nearby. Over a dozen brooks feed into Kwan Phayao.A range of recreational activities, restaurants, and food stalls line the shores of the beautiful lake, shaded by lush vegetation. Row boat trips are 20 baht for adults and 10 baht for children, perfect for wiling away a lazy afternoon.
