Namtok Klong Pla Kang

Attraction Details :
Considered as the last virgin forest left in Rayong, this park is located in Klaeng district, 71 kilometers from the city. Declared as a National Park in December 31, 1975, Khao Chamao – Khao Wong covers an area of 83.6 square meters, which is home for variety of wildlife such as tigers, elephants and bears. The park is also famous for its Limestone Mountains, caves, high cliffs, verdant forests and waterfalls.
Attractions in the national park:
·        Namtok Khao Chamao or Namtok Khlong Nam Sai is the crystal clear waterfall located one kilometer before the park. The waterfall comprises of seven levels stretching for three kilometers where the main pond is called Wang Matcha is the home for the brook carp.
·        Namtok Khlong Pla Kang is 3 kilometers from headquarter which is best known for its lush of Ferns and Orchids all over in this area.
·        Pha Sawan The viewpoint is 1.5 kilometers from the park headquarters. Tourists should contact national park staff before exploring further to the viewpoint.
Pitching the private tents is subjected to B10 per person. Bunalows are also available at B800 per bungalows per night with limited to 8 persons. Advance booking is recommended at 038-894-378.
