Attraction Details :
These two
waterfalls are located at Ban Takrao, Bu Phai subdistrict which is 500
meters away from Dan Takrao. The waterfalls are wide watersource. There
is a bridge across Takrao waterfall. On its left-handed side of the
river is a hill while on the right-handed side is a sparse forest.
Around the waterfall is suitable for relaxation.
From Takrao waterfall, visitors need to walk
for another 2 kilometers to reach Salad Dai waterfall which is
stunningly beautiful. If visitors wish to visit Salad Dai waterfall, it
is recommended to contact the guide officers from Foundation for Khao
Yai National Park, which is located around Takrao waterfall. Tel.
0-1755-4852, 0-9913-5058. The waterfalls are open every day from 6.00 –
18.00 hours.
To go there from Prachin Buri province, drive along Highway Number 3452 (Prachin Buri – Prachan Takham).
The overall distance is 16 kilometers. After
that, drive along Highway Number 33 until you reach Prachan Takam
intersection. Another way is when you reach Nern Hom intersection; turn
right into Highway Number 33 until you reach Prachan Takham
intersection. Then turn left into Ro Po Cho road and drive for 16
kilometers. Then walk for another 500 meters to reach Takrao waterfall.
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), 8th
district of the Central region (take care of Nakhon Nayok, Sra Kaew,
Pracihn Buri and Chachoeng Sao provinces) records that Prachan Ta Kham
district in Prachin Buri is the district where there are the largest
numbers of the waterfalls in Thailand. There are altogether 17 small and
big waterfalls in the district.
The 17 waterfalls in the district include Ta Krao waterfall, Salad Dai waterfall and Som Poi waterfall.
There are small waterfalls which are
naturally beautiful. Than Tip waterfall is a small waterfall which flows
on the stone ground through the narrow area before it falls from the
5-meter high cliff. The other waterfalls are Lan Sao Ki waterfall,
Lan Hin Tad waterfall, Hew Jakkajan waterfall, Kaeng Krissana waterfall, Sai Kuu waterfall, Tad Hin Yao waterfall,
Fong Sabu waterfall, Ta Kon Dam waterfall,
Huai Kamin waterfall, Hew Ei Aum waterfall, Hin Tad waterfall, Than
Talok waterfall and Banern waterfall.
