This monastery,
situated in Tambon Bang Phai, was likely known only WatSarikho during
the late Ayutthaya period. It was originally built in the Ceylonese
style by skillful artisans. The most notable spots of this temple are
the glass-walled Ubosots (or temple halls) and the boat-shaped monk
residences, set in tranquil and natural surroundings. To get there by car, drive along Rattanathibet Road and cross Rama V Bridge. Keep left, and there will be a direction sign pointing to WatSangkhatan. Turn left at this sign and continue for 2 kilometers. Otherwise, take the ferry at Nonthaburi Pier to Bang Sri Mueang Pier, then get on a minibus heading to the temple.
The temple is open from 8.00 am-5.00 pm daily. For more information, please call 0 2447 0799.
