WatSuanKaeo is a
center for the promotion of Buddhist practices and knowledge. Also at
the location is the SuanKaeo Foundation, which hopes to improve the
living standards of the poor and to help develop and improve society. An
innovative monk named PhraPhisalDhammaPhati or PhraPhayomKanlayano has
initiated several projects for the related SuanKaeo Foundation.
Successful projects include the Rom Pho Kaeo, providing shelter for the
elderly, a supermarket for the poor, and the SuanKaeo nursery projects.WatSuanKaeo is located at Mu 1 Tambon Bang Lan, Amphoe Bang Yai, Nonthaburi . To get there, drive over Phra Nang Klao Bridge and turn left at the second intersection for 2 kilometers. Alternatively, take the No.63 bus from Bangkok’s Victory Monument.
